En Route to Fernandina Beach

Off at eight fifteen to get to the Bridge of Lions for the eight thirty opening, I was actually 'cut up' by a cruiser. Not showing that my feathers had been ruffled, I sweetly waved and took the offenders picture, he swiftly left the scene.

I was sorry not to have explored St Augustine (pronounced St Augusteen) but Bear has promised me a week on our trip south. We had planned to spend time here but that was taken waiting for the non-space launch. In Titusville I had picked up brochures for the area, there's loads to do and visit and from our passing by, the town looks really smart with loads of character AND a fort. See Bears finger twitch at the thought of a cannon.

We rounded the corner from the fort and head to head way past the ICW channel to get to the last red buoy before I could turn left. Beez Neez saw the open sea, had seen a yacht behind her putting up sails so I had a devil of a job to get her to do the left turn. Sorry Beez, ICW as the Gulf Stream in these winds are not for you. We have been told it is quite horrid out there due to the last front stirring things up.

Beez soon steady, tucking in behind a local, the wide water narrowing into a deep river, houses on both sides.

We saw some oddities including this back garden, complete with Ronald McDonald along the way.

We passed the usual things we have come to expect but then.............................

Now this is a first, we watched this chap for miles, even his little fingers had muscles

The next skinny bit looked like Beez had taken to being an All Terrain Vehicle, clearly on dry land

We were actually in a deep channel watching Chums leave by another channel out to open water

Next was a mini dockyard THEN IT HAPPENED - we saw the Wise Owl OWLNAPPED (own blog)

We found ourselves in an industrial area, fishing girls at the ready and anchored behind the marina. Bear clearly out of sorts due to the Wise Owl incident, he couldn't even see the funny side of two birds using marker 23 as a 'rudies post'

Bear went over to converse with the superintendent who put up a recon spotter plane

ALL IN ALL IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG NIGHT
