Attwood Bay to Landrail Beach, Crooked Island

Up anchor, ready to leave at nine for the thirty four mile journey to Crooked Island. We followed Mi Amante and Nancy Dawson out of the entrance, the sea hitting and coming over the reef put on quite a display. Wearing polarising sunglasses, I could see a rainbow in the surf which made saying "farewell" to Julie's special place all the more poignant.

Soon out into deep water, we could see the lighthouse on Bird Rock which protects boats from a huge area of reef along the north coast

The water was so calm I introduced Bear to the joys of sitting on the stern platform and the business of 'dabbling feet'

The breakers as we rounded the corner were spectacular

Bird Rock Lighthouse in full working order, a rare thing since we left Europe

A local fisherman gave us a waved a cheery greeting as we passed

This house has a fantastic view

Landrail Beach, our anchorage

ALL IN ALL WHAT A PLACE TO END THE DAY
                     A BEAUTIFUL STOP OFF
