On Sunday Oli and I visited my brother John to celebrate his wife’s, Cathy’s, birthday. Then, yesterday, John, Oli and I returned to Sylph to prepare her for a short voyage to Whyalla. This morning we motored over to the fuel dock, topped up the fuel tanks and headed out into St Vincents Gulf where we found a pleasant NE’ly breeze. We set the main and poled the headsail to starboard for a quarter run across the Gulf. Unfortunately the wind died on us about half way across and since then we have been motoring with the goal of picking up a Squadron mooring before sunset so we can get ashore and enjoy a meal at the local pub.

All is well.
