Not far to go now! I made an error in yesterday's calculation, I am good at making silly mistakes, never was any good at adding up. Only problem is I reckon we will probably arrive sometime Saturday and with Australian customs and quarantine's expensive overtime rates there is no way I will enter port until Monday. Not to worry, we have headwinds now which will probably continue until Sunday or Monday but a nice big high is dominating the weather map, so the sun is shining and I expect we should have a nice sail ahead of us. If I get to Coffs over the weekend I will just sail around outside the harbour, clean the boat and prepare her for the customs and quarantine Nazis.

We spent the night under a doubled reefed mainsail and staysail and have comfortably jogged along overnight against the fresh breeze which is now easing. Once I have finished my report I will set a bit more sail and get Sylph moving again.

Its a beautiful day, clean dark blue seas flecked with numerous white caps, and a few small fair weather cumulus clouds in the clear blue sky mirror the white caps beneath.

All is well.
