Alongside Ushuaia
Wind: West, strong breeze
Weather: Overcast, cool

I awoke this morning once more to silence, no wind, perfect to get the forestay on. After a hasty breakfast I wasted no time in breaking out the angle grinder, trimmed off the excessive bit of weld, then, with a little bit of assistance from my Aussie neighbours, Roger and Connie (though actually Connie is Dutch) we soon had it back up and tensioned. The wind came back with a vengeance a short while later so we have not been able to get the jib bent on, but there is plenty of time to do this, maybe it will be calm again tomorrow morning.

More painting this afternoon. My goal, one day, no rust!

All is well.

Bob Cat:

It has beeen another wonderful day in Ushuaia where nothing of partiicular interest happened, just my sort of day. I hasten to add, with regret, that this includes no improvement in the food, so, nonetheless, there remains plenty of room for improvement. On the plus side I am clocking up the sleeping hours, a work in progress . . . Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
