A full day running square, wing-on-wing, before a fresh breeze overnight with a reef in the mainsail has seen another excellent day’s run for old Sylph, and a relatively comfortable night.  The wind eased and backed a little this morning, so I shook out the reef and gybed to keep Sylph heading in the right direction.  This afternoon we will be in the lee of Kangaroo Island and into the Gulf of St Vincent so shall be leaving this nice long Southern Ocean swell behind, back into the waters I used to race my Heron dinghy in.

I am looking forward to catching up with family.

All is well.
