The wind has held steady for the last 24 hours, still a bit on the light side with the mainsail putting in the odd complaint as it slats. Now it is getting lighter and the mainsail is grumbling more regularly. If the wind gets any lighter I shall have to put it to bed and awaken the drifter.

We are starting to get into flying fish waters, found a small flying fish on deck this morning which I put straight into Bob Cat's bowl. He ate the whole thing, wings and all.

All is well.

Bob Cat:

I awoke this morning after a short but relaxing 20 hour sleep - stretched, yawned, and strolled over to my dining area, no rush, it will be the same old stuff - I have become so accustomed to a diet of hard tack such thoughts do not even go through my mind. I got to my bowl and there was something very strange in it. It looks like a fish, also a bit like a bird, it smells like a fish . . . Hmmm, it TASTES like a fish. How did it get here? A gift from the gods, I can't believe the skipper put it there, the Universe in its infinite mercy must have taken pity on me and had this creature fly from wherever it came from and land in my bowl. Thank you. What a treat! After such unexpected excitement I really need a good rest . . . Zzzzzzz.
