The wind has been a bit on the light side, but mostly fair, so we have made quite reasonable progress over the last twenty four hours. It has been a long night with little sleep as we had to keep a good lookout for coastal traffic of all shapes and sizes. In particular a couple of tugs with barges in tow were making their way up the coast and as they are generally restricted in their ability to manoeuvre they have right of way over little Sylph.

At our current rate of progress we should be in San Diego for New Year's eve, though this is of course Californian time and back in Australia NYE will have been and gone by the time we arrive. Then again, there is this pub on Santa Catalina Island. Hmm.

All is well.
