Alongside Fukuoka
Weather: overcast, showers, cool

A few things are falling into place, not quite the way I would like, but nonetheless helping to make my immediate plans a little clearer. I have applied for a visa interview at the US consulate here in Fukuoka, but that will not be until the 14th of May. Also I have it from a reliable source, an experienced sailor of these regions, that I do not need a visa to sail to South Korea. Therefore the plan is to sail next week for Busan, spend perhaps a week there, depending on communications, costs etc., then return here in good time to clear in and attend the interview at the US consulate. Then I will probably head up to Hokkaido.

This afternoon I did the laundry.

All is well.
