John and Jason got away by bus OK yesterday while I remained alongside with Sylph in Port Vincent waiting for the wind to ease. It continued to blow in excess of 20 knots all day so we didn't get away until this morning, when in fact the wind was non-existent. We left anyway, motored clear of the port and ended up drifting around just off Middle Spit for an hour or two, but then a gentle breeze came in from the south which had us beam reaching at a very pleasant five knots on a smooth sea, very comfortable indeed, especially compared to our outbound leg.
Now Sylph is back in Marina Adelaide.
All is well.
