Having pretty much exhausted the attractions of American River, this morning we sailed with the tide weighing anchor at 0625. A half hour later we were clear of the shallows at the river’s entrance and were running square before a light S’ly breeze. My initial intention was to head for Kingscote but with the nice S’ly blowing, instead decided to head back across Investigator Strait to Edithburgh. Unfortunately the breeze has now faded to a zephyr so once more we are motoring with a view to getting to anchor before sunset.
All is well.
