Weather: sunny, warm

This morning, at slack low water, we slipped our dock lines and motored back to Quarries Reach where we have anchored to wait for the tide to turn so as to carry the ebb stream the remaining twelve miles down the river, rather than wasting time and fuel battling the incoming flood tide. Slack high water is around 1500. Then we will get under way again and make for Green Island where we will anchor for the night.
Tomorrow we will return through the Broadwater channels and back to Southport where we will re-victual before starting our return voyage back to Adelaide.
All is well.
