This morning Sylph and crew (Kate, Oli, and I) departed Adelaide.  It has obviously been a tough week for the family, but it seems that all one can do in such circumstances is pick up the pieces and continue on as best one can.  To this end, Kate and I plan to head out to the whale grounds south of Kangaroo Island and see if we can salvage some of the work that we had put into our environmental project as we track back east towards Melbourne.  Clearly the quality of our data will not be of the same standard without our experienced field scientist and team leader, Dr. Fiona, on board, but we will do our best within our limitations.

All is well.
