An excellent day's run, perhaps we are starting to get a little help from the Brazil current. We have been sailing close to the wind since crossing the ITCZ, not close hauled but very close reaching, trying to stay well to weather of the rhumb line. Its been a bit of a slog but worth the effort, so as to avoid being close hauled later. Now that I am confident we will lay our destination we have eased sheets a little and are just a tad shy of a beam reach. The ride is much more comfortable (the wind has eased a little which helps), the decks are a lot dryer - for now anyway.

With 524 miles to go, if we maintain an average of 5 knots we could be in Salvador as early as late on the 7th. Not much point getting in at night so we will see what happens.

All is well.
