Position: 50 59.2 S 074 13.06 W
At anchor Puerto Bueno
Wind: Northwest F3 gentle breeze, easing later to calm
Weather: Overcast at first. sunny later, cool.
Day’s Run: 20nm (45nm sailed)

Light headwinds all day today, had full sail up on leaving Puerto Mayne and didn’t have to reef down once.  Can’t remember a day like that for quite awhile. It was all upwind as usual so a lot of sailing, a lot of tacking (27 tacks all told), and slow but pleasant progress. Towards sunset we still had five miles to go and the wind fading away to nothing. It made little sense drifting around in the dark so I motored the remaining distance and dropped anchor by the light of the first quarter moon in the mirror smooth waters of Puerto Bueno at 7 pm.

All is well.

Bob Cat:

One could almost say a pleasant day today, still leaning over this way and that, this way and that, ad infinitum, I was getting dizzy, but apart from frequent adjustment of sleeping posture at least I had a relatively constructive day for a change. And the day isn’t finished yet … zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
