I am very pleased to once more have very little to report. While the swell has remained and the seas have taken a while to subside, we have kept enough wind to keep the sails full and Sylph has made very satisfactory progress, with our destination of Okinawa now less than 900 miles away.
Currently winds are light from the east, we have all sail up, and continue to work our way north. Tomorrow the winds will freshen from the north, by which time hopefully we will have made enough ground in that direction that we will be able to bear away, put the wind on our beam, and thereby make a fast but relatively comfortable run, and still make good our course for Okinawa. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
But for now the sun is shining, the deck is dry, and the breeze is gentle. It is a great day.
All is well.
