Light headwinds have continued for the last 24 hours. We tacked out of Backstairs Passage during which time the Kangaroo Island ferry must have made at least four runs between Cape Jervis and Penneshaw. Once clear of Backstairs Passage we continued close hauled on the starboard tack heading due east. At 0300 the breeze was backing and we were getting pushed in towards Encounter Bay and the Coorong, so we tacked. For the remainder of the day we continued to enjoy light headwinds and, all things considered I am happy with our progress. Hopefully we will be in a good position to make the most of the northerlies when they eventually arrive.

All is well.
