Punta Arenas Alongside Punta Arenas Yesterday the fisherman who we came alongside said that they would be leaving early this morning, or so I understood, with my Spanish they could have been saying almost anything. Then this morning when, after a leisurely breakfast, it became obvious not much was happening, they said they were leaving at doce, 12. Midday and a late lunch has been and gone, now they are supposed to be leaving at three. I have used the time being stuck on board to get a few chores done; cleaned up, emptied the fuel caddies into the fuel tanks, and serviced the wind vane which got clobbered by a tug boat this morning - fortunately no serious damage though the old thing is like most everything else on Sylph suffering from quite a bit of wear and tear, something else which needs either a complete overhaul or to be replaced.
