Good News
Moored Rushcutters Bay I have spent the last couple of days enjoying the hospitality of a friend and old Navy colleague, which has been a very nice change to be off the boat for a short while, but ‘tis good to be back on board again. On my return to Sylph I was delighted to find that the new wind vane rudder has been delivered, so I will fit that tomorrow and do an in harbour trial over the weekend. The old number 2 genoa has had a check over by the sail maker and another piece of good news is that North Sails has agreed to replace the number one headsail that I purchased in Buenos Aires only eight months ago. The replacement sail will not be ready for a while, I am not sure exactly when, so in the meantime we will have to make do with the number two. So with a little luck and favourable weather will be continuing south early next week. All is well. |
