RC swallows the anchor
Position: Alongside RSAYS, Adelaide Outer Harbour Yesterday I received news from RC’s current minder, Sylvia, that she has had to find an alternative home for RC. Sylvia has moved into a senior’s home which, unfortunately, does not allow pets. Consequently, RC has moved to the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society where, after some medical care, he will be put up of adoption. I was originally hoping to have been back in Canada sooner than later but, as is obvious, have not been able to. Sylvia and I are both disappointed in this outcome but it is clearly in RC’s best interest under the circumstances. With luck we will be able to follow his adoption and perhaps I will be able to visit him when we do, eventually, once again throw off the shore lines and head out across the deep blue. Meanwhile, the family adjusts to Peter’s throwing off the mortal coils for the undiscover’d country. The funeral is on the 19th. |
