Position:  34 57.9N  76 23.8W  Chesapeake Bay

After a good night’s sleep and some sad farewells we weighed anchor at 9.30 this morning and were cheered through the Spa Creek Bridge by our small enthusiastic shore team.  The wind is light from the north which is the direction we need to go so it’s a slow start.   For now Paul is getting the feel of old Sylph as he helms her sailing close hauled and tacks us up the Bay.  This is a sailing adventure so while there is enough wind to sail we sail, and if there is no wind well . . . . we’ll see.
