Today we have been busy with last minute preparations for our departure.  The life raft service was completed late this afternoon, one last prescription item for the first aid kit was filled, fresh provisions were purchased and stowed, the crew’s gear was embarked and fitted somehow into the remaining space, customs and immigrations were cleared and now this evening we will have a final farewell moment with some friends before we turn in and try to get a good night’s sleep before setting sail for our big adventure – to find an iceberg.  For an Aussie from the driest state of the driest continent on the planet this is quite a big deal!
