This morning we arose relatively early (0600) to make best use of the tide.  High water was at 0700 and I wanted to be out into Backstairs Passage to have the ebb stream in our favour.  Unfortunately, this meant very little wind and we had to motor for a couple of hours, but we are now just about clear of Backstairs Passage and the wind is picking up.  With a little luck, i.e. the forecast turns out as predicted, we should be in Robe about this time tomorrow.

As for Australia Day, Kate and I agree that the date needs to be changed.
