A Good Run

Noon Position: 35 21.6 S 150 38.2 E
Course: North nor' east Speed: 4 knots
Wind: South-west F3 gentle breeze
Weather: sunny, mild
Day's run: 132 nm

We appear to have outrun the front that is passing through Victorian waters at the moment, we still have bright blue skies and sunshine overhead. Only trouble is the wind is relatively light and a moderate swell is running almost at right angles to the wind which has Sylph rolling and without much pressure in the sails they are slatting heavily on a regular basis. Not much choice but to grin and bare it for now.

A good days run with less than a hundred miles to Sydney. Should be there sometime tomorrow.

All is well.

Green Cape Lights, the new one on the left (they don’t make ‘em like they used to) and the old one on the right appears to be under wraps for restoration:
