Fresher Headwinds
Noon Position: 38 51.0 S 142 50.8 E The wind has freshened and turned directly on the nose which continues to make for slow progress and, with the lumpy seas, less comfort than we enjoyed in the lighter winds. I put a reef in the mainsail last night and we tacked offshore until seven this morning when I tacked back towards the coast and shook out the reef. Now we are heading towards the Twelve Apostles. I wonder whether we will see them or not. I was hoping to get into Apollo Bay by late this evening; however, it won’t be until tomorrow morning now - a bonus night at sea! All is well. |
