Hooked on Technology

Alongside Ushuaia
Wind: West, moderate breeze
Weather: Showers, cool

Nothing exciting to report. Frequent passing showers have precluded any upper deck maintenance. I had put the netbook into a local computer store for them to look at yesterday and the news this morning was all bad. After some deliberation and procrastination I decided to splurge out and buy another one. Is it essential? Perhaps not to the running of the ship but to my sanity as a single hander, perhaps yes. They have to download the English software and it will be ready Monday.

All is well.

Bob Cat:

The skipper’s sanity is rather a moot point I would say. How many fish dinners could I get for the price of one netbook? The skipper might be hooked on technology but I hate to admit (sotto voce) that I am rather dependent on the skipper, there does not seem anybody else volunteering to clean my kitty tray in the immediate vicinity, so whatever it takes.

A cold, drizzly day, good for a nice little . . . Zzzzzzzz.
