Last week I went to the Sydney boat show.  My main objective was to buy a new engine for Sylph but in the process I came across the display for Walker Bay dinghies.  My dinghy is a Walker Bay 8 (8 feet long) which has served me well through many hardships for the last ten years.  It can be fitted with a sail which I have hankered after for a long time now, so the rep offered me a deal I couldn’t refuse.  Today I took delivery of the sailing kit and a short while later had ‘Sylphide’ (a young Sylph) rigged and took her for a sail.  Fun!
