A perfect sunny day for painting - so I painted. The second coat of topcoat is on. I applied it with a roller, it looks OK but I am not entirely with the finish. The plan is to wait seven days for the paint to harden, then give it a light sand and a thorough polish. That should remove a lot of the imperfections and give a nicer up close look.

After painting I continued fairing the waterline then moved back on deck to continue the welding job on the cockpit coaming. My welding is a bit on the rough side but it should be more than strong enough. Tomorrow I will cut and grind, maybe weld a little more if necessary, than paint the bare steel.

While poking around under the hull today I discovered another small hole. Damn! Oh well better to find them now then later while in the water. This small hole is very localised so I doubt whether it would have caused too much trouble other then a small leak eventually. I shall have a look at it from the inside tomorrow and decide how to fix it. At this stage I am inclined to try and repair it myself and save a little money.

Feeling quite a bit better today, hopefully this cold is almost done with.

All is well.
