It would seem that the Tasman high has buggered off to the Pacific Ocean so my plan of trying to get onto its other side to pick up a SW flow has been dashed. It now looks like we have at least another 24 hours of bashing to windward before the frontal system passes through. After that I hope we will have a favourable wind for a while, at least until we get around North Cape.

Despite the lumpy conditions and a grumpy skipper, crew morale remains high and the food good.

All is well.
