Jib Bent On
Alongside Ushuaia Another calm morning so I wasted no time getting the jib hoisted onto the foil and furled before breakfast. As it turned out I needn’t have hurried as the day remained calm throughout and indeed turned out to be a one of Ushuaia’s surperior days. After breakfast I decided a leg stretch would be a nice change from boat maintenance and went for a stroll into town. But I soon tired of all the tourist shops so settled into a café for a little while to enjoy a cup of coffee and read a book as a bit of a treat to myself. The break helped motivate me to get stuck back into a bit of painting once back on board, and the side decks have now been given a fresh coat of non-skid paint. This evening a French boat pulled alongside outboard of us. The crew is a young couple who have just come from Puerto Williams and have now disappeared ashore to clear in with the Prefectura. All is well. Bob Cat: Hope this French crowd don’t interfere with t my . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. |
