Waiting for a Fair Breeze
At anchor Wagonga River,
Narooma We sit and wait for a fair breeze to continue on our way. For now the wind remains fresh from S to SW but is forecast to ease on Thursday or Friday, then swing into the SE and E on Saturday. I shall continue to watch the weather closely so as to be able to get under way again as soon as possible. In the meantime Sylph's maintenance chores keep me busy during the day. Also Narooma is a very pretty town and the estuary is full of wild life, with numerous birds wading the adjacent wetlands and large stingrays loiter around the fish cleaning tables looking for an easy meal. There is a nice track and boardwalk around the river shore, and a heated swimming pool close by, so I am getting a bit of exercise in while we remain at anchor. And Oli, like most cats, eats and sleeps during the day then annoys me during the night, generally wanting more food. All is well. |
