The wind backed more into the north late yesterday so once again after
some procrastination we gybed. We have remained on the starboard tack
overnight even though the wind gradually veered back to the east sou’ east
such that we have been heading a little north of track. This morning the
wind has backed again so we are for now pretty much on course.
Not to be defeated by a minor setback I have made another rotator for the
Walker log. It is now trailing out the back undergoing calibration trials.
It is over reading by 7% so I need to straighten the fins a little. I will
try not to lose this one so carelessly.
All is well.
