Not so windy today, just lots of rain. David kindly let me set myself up in his workshop for the day. Here I had another go at welding up the leaks in the windvane rudder but after several hours of welding and grinding, while it looked like all the little cracks and holes were closed, when I filled the rudder with water it still leaked. I have now given up on plan A and have started on plan B, filling the rudder with polystyrene and sealing the bottom with a wooden plug. I have made the plug, now all I need to do is get hold of some polystyrene.
All is well.
Wet and still no tuna. I sit patiently in front of my food bowl (the new one with ears, very cute but still filled with hard tack) while the skipper is making himself dinner, but do I get a scrap? No - not that I would want what he was eating tonight, vegetarian stir fry - Meowargh! Thank goodness I have my ….. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
