Last night John and I enjoyed a game of pool, a pub meal and a few glasses of vino. Very nice.

This morning we got underway at 9.30 and had our high cholesterol breakfast of fried bacon and eggs while underway, the sky was clear and sunny and the breeze was fresh from the south east, a great start to the day. We continued along the north coast of Kangaroo Island to the township of Penneshaw to investigate the ferry terminal, while streaming a fishing line astern in the hope of catching dinner. At 2.45 pm we gybed and retraced our track a little ways to make for Eastern Cove. We tacked a couple couple of times along the shoreline to kill a little time as we were planning on spending the night in American River and needed to wait for slack high water to get in. This was at 3.15 at which time we were off the entrance, we handed sail, started the engine and slowly made our way from beacon to beacon across the shoal entrance. Once inside the River we found a berth alongside a small wharf where we are now.

John is at “The Shed” and my friend Mark will be here very shortly with Starfire so I need to go and give him a hand with lines.

All is well.
