The wind has dropped off a little over the last 24 hours as is evident from our less than usual daily run. We are still making satisfactory progress and should arrive Hiva Oa tomorrow afternoon, but if we arrive too close to sunset I may loiter off until sunrise Monday, mainly to obviate any problems we may encounter trying to clear in late on a Sunday afternoon. With the lighter winds we are rolling a bit in the swell and the mainsail is slatting on a fairly regular basis, the whole boat shakes heavily each time the sail crashes back and forth, not good for my nerves. With luck I will be able to have a beer later tomorrow to help soothe them a little.
