It has been slow going but considering the light airs for the last 23 hours since sailing from Cascais old Sylph has posted quite a respectable run of 93 miles.
We are coming up to Cabo de S. Vincent, should round it some time later this afternoon if we don't lose the wind altogether. I still haven't made up my mind where next. For now we plug along at a slow and steady couple of knots.
Dipping into a little Shakespeare to pass the time. Shakespeare sure dreamed up one bad dude in Richard III. It can be a bit hard to follow for a failed high school English student (that is moi - I did even worse in French), but worth the effort. I wonder if Shakespeare's often disparaging protrayal of English royalty had any influence in bringing about the English Civil War?
