Weather: Sunny
Day's Run: 123 miles
We had another good run overnight, the wind remaining fair and constant
throughout. Only now has it started to die off, down to a light 5 knots or
so, just enough to keep the sails full and us moving under mainsail and
drifter at about 2 ½ knots. We have only 30 miles to go to Cape May,
marking the entrance to Delaware Bay. I am hoping we might make this later
this evening but if we don't get a little more wind soon we won't be making
the entrance until tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile the weather is balmy and warm, a little bit of a change from
Greenland.
Bob Cat:
At certain times of the day just recently the sun angles in through the
hatchway and onto the settee where I curl up and soak up its rays. This
should be very good acclimatization for the Bookstore window. I can feel us
getting closer. I trust once we are ashore I can get off this hard tack.
Hopefully the Bookstore will know how to feed me properly.
All is well.
