In the past, when there was limited facilities for pleasure boats, Godeysundet was a popular destination with west coast sailors. They would tie up at the moorings, move into the hotel, and wine and dine in some style.
The hotel has been closed now for many years and is in disrepair. The area including the dock is off bounds for visitors,
with signs stating “Construction site. No
entry". The anchorage off the old buildings is, however, free of and submarine cables, and in pretty surroundings between th islands.
