Saturday 26/10
In search of better waters (for snorkeling and swimming)
and of better weat.her (It started to rain) we decided to go to Iles Des Pines
that is 40NM SE of the mainland.
The wind was SSE and we had to motorsail all the way to
be able to get there before dark. We anchored outside a beautiful beach in time
for sundowners.
Sunday 27/9
We woke up the next morning with sun and beautiful
weather again. We spent all day in and out of the water. The bay was full of big
turtles feeding on the bottom.
Later we walked the beaches wich had the finest sand
possible. We stopped at a beach restaurant for a drink
This place is very popular with cruise ships. There was
one anchored when we arrived on Saturday but it left in the evening for wich we
were happy.
A nice day on a pacific island.
