Kuwanak Island
Tuesday 12/5 19.00

On Monday morning Whyaki? came over with 7!! big Lobsters. We bartered for 5 of them. We gave him 2 cans of Corned Beef, 1/2 kg of suger, 1kg of rice, a few fish hooks and some fish line. A good barter for both parties.

We then moved on to Mabneian Islet for a swim and a fantastic Lobster Lunch. We only managed to eat two of the Lobsters and decided to eat the rest for dinner. We sailed for Kuwanak Island for the night.

We realised that we were not going to manage more Lobster the same day and finished the day with cheese and bisquits + red wine.

Tuesday morning after talking to the lokals, we decided to try and climb to the top of the Island. We managed to get to the top after a heavy struggle through grass reaching your hips. After a hard climb we were rewarded with nice views of the surrounding islands and coral reefs.
We did not get back to the boat until 1.30 and Lunch/Dinner did not start until 15.30 in the afternoon. Delayed by rain and tired legs. We have now finished a fantastic dinner with a few bottles of Sauvignon Blanc. As a desert the girls cooked a nice choclate cake with banana sauce. Very nice.

All is well,
Lars and crew.
