Today we climbed the vulcano. Dan and Urban decided the long walkabout around the crater. The invalids did a little shorter walk, not climbing the very summit, but still a hefty walk for our bad knees. Amazing to think what was happening 1973. 400 house were caught by the lava stream. The good thing, the harbour became even more protected. After the walk we visited the vulcano museum. Now burger and a beer.
Sadly the heater would not start, again !!!
We were confident that after the repair it was ok.
But not...
Will troubleshoot again and try to find out if we can get some service when at Torshavn,Faroe Islands. Will leave tonight or in the morning.
Seems that we will have wind when out of the Iceland wind shadow.
