Okinoshima, Easter Sunday 27/3

We left Iwai Shima after breakfast and for once we had beautiful sailing winds, downwind and for most of the way with a poled out genoa. The weather was nice and sunny and even Lone had to take a layer of clothes off.
The weather has been quite cold and the water temperature is only 12C. No swimming except at Onsens.
On our way towards Hiroshima there is lots of Islands and lots of passages between them to negotiate. Because of our 25 m mast we ended up going a longer way, many bridges were to low.
Late afternoon we decided to go in to Okinoshima for the night. There is some complicated steering between big rafts of oyster farms to get into the bay. When we got there it was easier to anchor than to tie up at the rickity marina.
Tomorrow we go to Hiroshima.
All is well,
Lars and crew.
