Babana Bay

Thomas and Ewa arrived to Alotau on Sunday after their long trip from Sweden. After a good nights sleep we did all the last shopping of bits and pieces for bartering on the Islands. I went to the customs and cleared out for Solomon Islands.

 

Monday afternoon we motored over to Kana Kopi Bay to get away from the rain. It did not help and we had a wet night.

 

Tuesday we had a nice Southerly wind and sailed to Basilaki Island. There we were surrounded with dugout canoes and did lots of bartering with the kids. The crew went ashore and visited a small village. The weather has cleared up and we had a nice evening.
