Pos 41:17.11S 174:00.29 Picton Early Saturday (14th) morning we took the Interislander ferry from Wellington to Picton. ![]() ![]() Sunrise while we are waiting to board the Ferry. ![]() ![]() Leaving Wellington we can see the snow topped mountains on the South Island. ![]() ![]() After about 2 hours we have crossed Cook Strait. A fellow traveller. ![]() ![]() The current runs strong entering Queen Charlotte Sound. Fish farm. ![]() ![]() Front end and back end. ![]() ![]() Meeting a sister ship.. A bit of mist appears. ![]() ![]() We reach Picton after 3h 15m. We now plan to explore the South Island for the coming weeks. Lars and Caroline. |
