It turned out to be a struggle sail the 150 NM from Okinawa to Amani.
The weather had promised light winds turning east, not so the wind stayed on the NNE at 20+ knots. Straight on the nose in other words. This meant motor sailing against big seas. Anna did not like it to much.
On top of it my autopilots have started messing up. I had to restart lots of times and keep a close eye on them.
In spite of the weather we sighted whales and a big school of dolphins that entertained us.
We arrived at Koniya on the south end of Amami at about 14.00 hours on Saturday the 27th. We found a nice mooring in a sheltered dock in the center of the town. Suddenly it was completely calm and the sun even came out, what a bless! A late lunch and then a walk around the quiet fishing town. This convinced us to retire to the boat for a nice evening in the main cabin with a light dinner and Wine and Mexican Train.
All is well,
Lars and crew.
