It is Ramadan by now and the prayers are shouted all over town 24-7 from the minerets. It means that the Muslims don’t eat in the daytime, and makes certain limitations regarding “fluid”, but everything is available with connections! Our frist night in town, we were recommended a local restaurant, in western terms, a shed, but lovely people and wonderful food. We tried out the ATMs, but very few of our cards worked, but we managed to get enough for our two days orangutan-trip. |
