Message from the Captain .....
Opua New Zealand 11/8 2014 Hello my Sailing friends, now the time is near. Dawnbreaker has had a long but necessary service break in New Zealand. She will soon be ready for new adventures on the ocean waves. But I will not get anywhere without a crew. That is where YOU come in to the picture. Come and sail with Dawnbreaker in the Pacific Ocean. The big plan is until August 2016 when it is time for the next service stop in Vancouver or Seattle in North America. The route will take us to the following places and more: Departure from Opua NZ end of September 2014. Cruising New Zealand until approx. end of November. Cross over to Australia and Tasmania. We will be in Hobart when "Sydney-Hobart race" finishes This leg until 11/1 2015 there is so far only I and Tonton. Room for more! From 11th of January until 6th of February we will spend most of the time sailing north along the golden coast diving and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. By middle of March and it will soon be time to head north when the Hurricane season has ended. I am going to need lots of crew for the sail North. Think of all the fantastic places we are going to visit: Solomon Islands Papua New Guinea Micronesia Palau Hong Kong China Japan In the spring of 2016, when the Cherry blossom is finished it is time to leave Japan to sail to Alaska via Kamchatka and the Aleutian Islands. As you can see there is lot's of sailing opportunities for the coming years. Come and join Dawnbreaker. I need crew for this to come true. I will post more information on the blog: htpp://blog.mailasail.com/dawnbreaker Look out for more info and sign on. Regards, Lars |
