Tahiti - Huahine
Klockan är nu 00.50 den 15'e Februari.
Igår kl 18.00 lossade vi förtöjningarna hos
segelmakaren i Papeete. Det har tagit lite extra tid men nu är äntligen det nya
storseglet på plats och hissat. Kursen är 307 grader mot Huahine som vi beräknar
angöra 08.00 nu på morgonen.Vi har firat Dawnbreakers nya segel och
nyss ätit en middag med Oxfile och ugnsgratinerad potatis.
Vädret är nästan stjärnklart, en lätt bris från ost
och 30 grader varmt. Enbart shorts nu på min vakt. Ett åskväder lyser upp
horisonten ibland, annars nästan becksvart. Vi loggar drygt 6 knop med hjälp av
motor.Huahine ligger i samma arkepelag som bl.a. Bora Bora och skall bli
intresant att besöka.
Vi har fortfarande problem med bra internetkontakt
och bilder får komma senare.

15.
Yesterday at 18.00 we
untied the mooring lines from the sailmaker in Papeete. It has taken a long time
but finally the new main is in place and hoisted. Course 307 degrees towards
Huahine, which we estimate to reach 08.00 this morning.
We have celebrated Dawnbreakers
new mainsail with Filet Mignon and gratinated potatoes.
The weather is almost clear,
with a light breeze from the east. It is 30 degrees hot and I only need shorts
for my watch. I can see lightning sometimes far away on the horizon, otherwise
it is pitch black. We are logging 6 knots with the help of the
engine.
Huahine is in the same island
groupe as Bora Bora and will be interesting to visit.
We are still having problems with
the internet contact and pictures will have to come later.
