A longer haul today .. it is already the 29th and Viola and Uno's holidays
are halfway over.
Just a normal chilly day at Chilean Patagonia with ice at the glacier.
Smooth motoring with head wind of course, along the busy O'Brien channel
where we crossed waters with L'Boreal - the sister ship of L'Austral who we
met in Antarctica - a Chile Navy vessel constantly broadcasting "securite,
securite" to announce his passage and an historic rusty Norvegian Rescue
Sailing ship (Colin Archer). Busy traffic in the Beagle channel today.
Temperature ... AIR 12C ... water 10C and Viola has not gone for a swim yet
... the myth is just a myth!
As we head West we get a glimpse of the Pacific and start feeling it's swell
entering the channel.
From the wildlife perpesctive the usual birdies, whales, elephant seal,
southern fur seals, dolphins and albatross.
Tonton experimented with sweet omelet for dessert .. a disaster!!!!

Idag lämnade vi Caletan där glaciären kalvar ut is. De små isbergen låter
som popkornkokning och när båten krockar med dom smäller det. Patagonien har
nu sin sommar men här är en liten bit av "chili in the air". Vår segling
styrs nu närmare Stilla Havet och Chiles västkust. Nu ligger vi ankrade i en
vik och Uno och jag har vandrat till en topp. När vi kom ner upptäckte Uno
att glasögonen var borta så nu gör han vandringen igen, hoppas han hittar
dom. Maten är förträfflig här tack vare Tontons färdigheter i köket. Jag
gjorde Jansons frestelse igår inte nån av mina bästa men den bästa som bjöds
på Beagle Kanal den dan.
