Hej !

Cath bjuder in oss på middag
till Spirit of Sydney.

Spirit of Sydney gav oss nya tipps om ankarplatser.

full bak. Nu ska båten ligga stilla.

Ton Ton ropar in övrig besättning.

17012012 Snowed In

We awake to snow. There's a good three inches on the deck making it like a
skating, rink deadly underfoot. Yesterdays Sun has disappeared, the
temperature has dropped and the occasional "woolly" rattles the rigging
blowing us and "Spirit of Sydney" moored alongside, shooting forward to the
end of our tethers.

So we batten down the hatches and settle for a lazy day "At Home". Tonton
manages to fire up the TV and linked to the Computer we run a Skip Novak
documentary of an Antarctic expedition showing many of the places we have
been.

The other video is all fast cars, guns and nutters. Another American movie
classic!

It's freezing below with the oil lamp trying but failing to heat the cabin.
The good news is we have been invited over to "Spirit" for a Thai curry
dinner and reports are that its 28C+ over there.

19:30 Hours and clutching our wine bottles and Peters' apple crumble we head
over. The heat is fantastic as we strip off our winter woollies. Gathering
at the table built around their heater, we have to open a hatch and a door
as it's so hot. After as great starter of Anchovies and Olives we get stuck
into Kath's rice and curry which gives a nice glow from the inside as well.

Darrell shows us his Satellite system which gives him real time weather
pictures that promise us Sun by tomorrow afternoon. Consequently we decide
to move on next day to Murray Island, some 20 miles away, via a tight
channel between the islands he says is very beautiful.

After a great evening and suitably cooked inside and out, we head home to
our bunks savouring our new found warmth!!
